Below is an example of an Exploration session's daily schedule.

Sunday

  • Arrive and move in.

  • Get to know your counselors, bunkmates, and other kids in your session

  • Play games designed to help get to know one another

  • Hike to a waterhole in Shenandoah National Park

  • After dinner play some field games and settle in at a campfire
Monday

  • Large group games

  • Teambuilding / friendship making activities

  • Low Ropes Course

  • Power Swing (by choice)

  • Giant Slip n slide

  • Rocket building (air powered 2 liter rockets - no combustion)

  • Evening Activity
Tuesday

  • Experience the Climbing and Rappelling Tower

  • Canoeing and swimming at Lake Arrowhead

  • BBQ at the Lake

  • Showers

  • Tie dyeing

 
Wednesday

  • Hike a peak in Shenandoah National Park

  • Guided tour of local area cave (Luray or Skyline caverns)

  • Zipline

  • Campout at lean-to and exciting campfire fun
Thursday

  • Finnish rocket building

  • Arts and crafts

  • Canoe the Shenandoah River

  • Showers

  • Launch the Rockets!

Friday

  • Clean Up

  • Award Ceremony

  • Depart
