5th and 6th Adventure!

Below is an example of a 5th and 6th Adventure session's daily schedule. 

 

Back

 

Sunday
  • Arrive and move in.

  • Get to know your counselors, bunkmates, and other kids in your session

  • Play games designed to help get to know one another

  • Hike to a waterhole in Shenandoah National Park

  • After dinner play some field games and settle in at a campfire

Monday

 

  • Basic climbing and rappelling on our tower

  • Rock climbing in George Washington National Forest

  • Evening Field Games

Tuesday
  • Teambuilding activities

  • Zipline

  • Giant Swing

  • Slip n Slide

  • Night time activities

Wednesday
  • Trip to Glade cave where campers suit up with helmets and headlights and go underground in one of Virginia's muddiest caves

  • Swimming and canoeing at Lake Arrowhead

  • Prep for overnight canoe trip

Thursday
  • Canoe overnight on the Shenandoah River.  Section will include numerous easy rapids, beautiful scenery, and skill development. 

Friday
  • Special hike in Shenandoah National Forest. Perhaps the waterfalls of White oak Canyon, summiting Old Rag, or Stony Man

  • Closing Campfire and awards

Saturday
  • Pack up and cleaning
